How to get involved?

Participation in Poland Active meetings is reserved for non-commercial industry representatives from national or continental trade associations or professional registers in the fitness and physical activity sector.
Affiliates are defined as Poland Active experts (scientists, scientists)
Only non-profit representative bodies from the fitness and physical activity sector, in the form of trade associations (national or continental) or professional registers, with a collective mandate, may participate in plenary. Only such members should exercise their membership rights, including voting rights, under the Active Poland.

Jak się zaangażować?

Udział w Poland Active meetings jest zarezerwowany dla niekomercyjnych przedstawicieli branży z krajowych lub kontynentalnych stowarzyszeń handlowych lub rejestrów zawodowych w sektorze fitness i aktywności fizycznej.
Podmioty stowarzyszone są definiowane jako Polska Aktywni eksperci (naukowcy, naukowcy)
W posiedzeniach plenarnych mogą uczestniczyć wyłącznie organy przedstawicielskie nienastawione na zysk z sektora fitness i aktywności fizycznej, w formie stowarzyszeń handlowych (krajowych lub kontynentalnych) lub rejestrów zawodowych, posiadające mandat zbiorowy. Tylko tacy członkowie powinni wykonywać swoje prawa członkowskie, w tym prawo głosu, w ramach Aktywnej Polski.

Our organisation brings together non-commercial representatives of the fitness and physical activity industry from national and international non-profit entities.
Affiliates in the ACTIVE POLAND are defined as Active Polish Experts.
Are you a foundation or association operating in the fitness, physical activity, and health sector? Join the ACTIVE POLAND and be part of a vibrant community. Our members have access to valuable resources, unique networking opportunities and invaluable advice from industry experts. With our help, you can make a lasting impact in your field while helping to improve the lives of others.
Until the end of 2023, all interested in membership in the ACTIVE POLAND do not incur any fees related to joining the association.

Greg Oliver

Greg Oliver is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Fitness and Lifestyle Group, being appointed at its formation in 2016. The Group’s brands include Fitness First Australia, Goodlife Health Clubs Australia, Jetts Fitness, Zap Fitness, Barry’s Bootcamp Australasia, Hypoxi, Kubofit and Loup. With more than 500 clubs across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia, FLG has over 720,000 club members across the globe and more than 300,000 digital subscribers on the Loup digital content platform.

With a career in the Fitness Industry spanning 40 years, Greg is regarded as one of the world’s most respected fitness industry executives. Greg’s experience includes the ownership and management of multi-club gym chains, corporate health practices and the start-up to divestment of one of the country’s largest membership billing and software services. Greg has significant experience in M & A activity, across the Fitness Industry in both club and Global brand acquisition.

Along with his operational experience Greg has held board positions and company directorships with a number of respected bodies including Fitness Australia, Fitness Victoria and Belgravia Health and Leisure Group.

Emmett Williams

Emmett Williams, Bcom GAICD has had the rare experience of working throughout the fitness industry in multiple regions of the world, most recently returning to Australian shores after spending 10 years in the United States. Having built and owned gyms on one side of the ledger, to having owned and grown the international sales & marketing company CFM on the other side of the ledger, Emmett now allocates most of his time as a founding partner & the CEO of APAC for the wearable technology company, Myzone.

Emmett was in past years awarded entry onto Fitness Australia’s (AusActive) prestigious ‘Roll of Honour’ for his excellence in leadership, whilst also accepting IHRSA’s ‘Supplier of the Year’ award on behalf of Myzone. Emmett currently sits on the advisory board of IHRSA’s Industry Partner Council and is a council member of the Global Health and Fitness Alliance, a group that works to influence intergovernmental policy that grows the fitness industry.

Elaine Jobson

Elaine is a Fitness Industry veteran having spent 30 years in executive positions working for a number of the world’s largest fitness brands. Her roles have taken her all over the globe having worked in Asia, Europe, South Africa and now Australia. She is best known for teaming up with well-known industry entrepreneurs including Mike Balfour OBE – Founder of Fitness First, Sir Richard Branson owner of Virgin Active South Africa and Brendon Levenson founder of Jetts Fitness. Having previously won the Deloitte Best Company to work in South Africa, Elaine is passionate about building successful companies through great cultures and growing exceptional Leaders. She is the 2017 winner of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s network ‘Outstanding Business Woman of the Year’ and guest author for the Institute of Managers and Leaders bestselling book, Leadership Matters. Elaine recently performed a Management Buy Out of Jetts Australia taking back the ownership of the brand from The Fitness and Lifestyle Group.

Edwina Griffin

Edwina has owned fitness centres from 1995 to 2012 and continues to do some personal training and run Fitmum Accreditation Programs with local councils in Queensland and NSW. Edwina has worked in national franchises as national training, national business development and programs manager roles at Jetts Fitness and Fernwood Fitness.

More recently, Edwina’s company has trained fitness professionals in communication, dispute resolution and emotional intelligence and provides stress management solutions to the corporate sector including meditation and mindfulness programs and technologies.

Edwina currently works with an international allied health company, Konekt Workcare as the Head of Government Relationships and Licensing which involves maintaining Customer contacts for our allied health professional work (OTS, exercise physiologists, physiotherapists and psychologists, and NDIS work nationally throughout Australia). She also facilitate mediations for workers compensation claims.

Chantal Brodrick

Chantal Brodrick worked for 15 years in senior sales and marketing roles in the media industry before transitioning careers.

In 2008 she became a qualified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor.

Soon after she combined her corporate background with her love of fitness and became a Fitness Business Coach.

In 2015 Chantal became the host of The Fitness Business Podcast – the world’s leading podcast for fitness business owners and managers. Chantal has interviewed over 300 fitness industry leaders, coaches, consultants and authors.

In 2019 Chantal was recognised as 1 of 20 ‘Women Who Inspire’ by IHRSA’s Club Business International Magazine and this year (2019) she is a featured speaker and MC at industry events across the world including, IHRSA, FILEX, IDEA, Athletic Business Show and FITEX.
